In spring of 2008 Hekotek delivered equipment of the new wooden pellets plant to Sawmill 25 in Arkhangelsk, Russia – the plant is started-up and has reached its projected production capacities. The facility produces up to 45 000 tons of wooden pellets per year and is one of the largest in its field in Nord-West Russia. Factory’s work is based on biomass pelleting presses from Andritz Sprout Matador (Denmark).
This pellet plant is last large investment in refurbishment program of Sawmill 25 sawmill, which belongs to Titan Group. With the 5 year refurbishment program the former frame-sawmill was totally rebuilt into a modern wood-processing plant equipped with brand new equipment with total capacity of about 300 thousand cubic meters of sawn timber per year.
