In August 2024, a new log sorting line by Hekotek was launched at the UPM Otepää Plywood Mill.
A special feature of the project was the very short downtime of the plant – the dismantling of the old equipment units and the installation of the new ones took place during the summer holiday shutdown. The goal was to continue after the summer holidays with at least the same production volume, as with the old equipment. This was successfully achieved. As in any project, there were some challenges here, but they were quickly overcome.
