In summer/autumn 2006 AS Hekotek signed first contracts for equipment deliveries to Central European sawmill market, well-known for its quality and longstanding traditions.

Sägewerk Ludwig Ziegler, the company located in south-east Germany acquired log feeding equipment and chip- and sawdust handling conveyors. The new equipment is to be put into operation end of 2006 to serve a new sawline (annual production capacity 250 000 m3 of sawn timber).

At the moment AS Hekotek is manufacturing conveyors for full-length logs ordered by GELO Holzwerke – the company located in the same area. The new conveyors launch is planned for the end of January, 2007.

Signing the contracts in question was the result of our cooperation with our German partner Scantec Industrieanlagen GmbH. The company representative, Stephan Lohmeyer, has been also organising several visits for German sawmillers for them to get acquainted with Estonian sawmills and everyday life.
