AS Hekotek has signed one of the biggest in its history sawmill equipment delivery contracts with a Russian company Sawmill 23 located in Arkhangelsk, Russia.

AS Hekotek is responsible for engineering design and manufacture of equipment for log sorting, log feeding, sawn timber sorting, as well as equipment for transporting and collecting shavings, chips and sawdust. At the same time the renewal of existing rack saw log feeding is being conducted.

Total cost of the equipment delivered by Hekotek will make up about 4 million Euro, the delivery will start in spring 2007. Based on saw device HewSaw R250 with estimated annual production capacity 150 000 m³ of sawn timber, the sawmill is to be launched in autumn 2007. Project is financed by entrepreneurs of Russia and EU, its initiators being Dutch timber merchants.
