April 16–17, 2026 Hekotek participated in the international Forest Industry Seminar Cono Sur 2026 held in Misiones, Argentina.

The seminar brought together leading companies and industry experts from Europe and South America, focusing on global timber markets, modern sawmill technologies, and the future development of the forest and biomass industries.

Hekotek was represented by Tõnis Haldna, who delivered a presentation on the company’s technologies and equipment for sawmills and pellet plants. The presentation highlighted solutions for improving production efficiency, automation, and integrated approaches to maximizing the value of both sawn timber and by-products, including biomass.

The seminar program covered key topics such as global timber market trends, sawmill process efficiency, scanning and optimization technologies, and wood drying solutions. Panel discussions and networking sessions provided participants with opportunities to exchange knowledge and establish new business connections.

For Hekotek, the seminar served as an important platform to strengthen its presence in the South American market and to introduce its turnkey solutions to regional wood industry companies. The company sees growing interest in both sawmill modernization and the development of pellet production in the region.

Hekotek specializes in turnkey solutions for sawmills and pellet plants, including log sorting lines, infeed systems, material handling, by-product processing, electrification, and automation.
